Will Kits

I was speaking the other day with a friend of mine, who is also a solicitor, about will kits – you know the ones that you can buy from the newsagent and post office. I was saying that I thought the information was pretty good.

She smiled and said that she loves them! I was really surprised by her reaction. She then said that she loves them because they bring a LOT of work to her estate administration business!

This means that people still get stuff wrong when they try to complete their Wills themselves. This adds costs for the estate – so what people think they are leaving for their families gets eaten away in legal and court fees.

Fancy losing money – and it could be thousands if the Will is declared invalid by the Court - from your estate for the sake of saving a few hundred.

That doesn’t make sense to me!
